Midwest Association Of
The Midwest Association of Professional Disc Jockeys is an organization formed to bring Disc Jockeys together to learn, grow and improve the entire Disc Jockey industry. The group was first started in 2001 by a few DJ’s with a dream of working together to improve the quality, standards and ethics of all DJ’s. Today it continues to expand and lead the way in the Mobile Entertainer Industry. MAPDJ has the dream of bringing all DJ’s to a standard of excellence that will shine above all the rest. When the organization was first formed, a few rules and regulations in our by-laws were designed to show the direction that the group wishes to go. Over the last few years we have continued to struggle to set an exact standards and ethics for MAPDJ members. Due to the wide variety, styles, values and production qualities of our membership it was difficult to incorporate a set group of rules for all the members to follow without possibly eliminating some great Entertainers. The following are just some of the Standards and Ethics that we would like all our members to follow to provide the best service to you the consumer. At this point MAPDJ doesn’t have a way to police or enforce many of these rules. It is up to you the consumer to decide which Standards and Ethics you believe a DJ should follow explicitly and which ones may not be as important. MAPDJ can not be responsible for any of the actions an individual member may take or any rules or regulations that they may not follow. It is with great hope that one day all of our members will follow all the rules we have formed to improve our industry. Note: These are proposed guidelines and not currently enforced
1. Honesty, Sincerity and Reliability: All members should be Honest at all times with clients. They should be Dependable and Reliable and Respect clients, guests, location staff and fellow vendors.
